Wed, 25 Sep 2019We are happy to announce that 5000 Meals is working in partnership with Secondbite, Volunteer WA and many agencies across Perth to support homelessness and disadvantaged community members - including schools. The 5000 meals vions is to engage and support your people to make a difference on a local, national and international level.
The upcoming World Food Day event in schools on the 16th October 2019 is our contribution to supporting the goal of #zerohunger and #zerowaste.
World Food Day is a day of action dedicated to tackling global hunger. Held annually, events in 150 countries across the world are held to promote global awareness and action for those suffering from hunger and for the need to ensure food security and nutritious diets for all.
Zero Hunger is goal two, of the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals, which aim to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure a more prosperous and happy planet for all by 2030.
