Kepa Kwab - Beautiful Water Pilot Program

The Kepa Kwab - Beautiful Water Pilot Program featured at the Hospitality Group Training (HGT) showcase event held at the Pan Pacific Hotel on the 17th of October 2023. The HGT Youth Skills Showcase was a fantastic celebration of youthful culinary and hospitality endeavours. Belmont City College students participated as part of their Prepare Produce Provide (PPP) Non-Alcoholic Beverage - Kepa Kwab (Beautiful Water) Program and Polly Farmer – Follow the Dream journey.

The students held their own, serving up their own Kepa Kwab recipe to 300 guests as a pre-dinner taster. Weaving their way through the crowd, arms full of glasses of their beautiful creations in their Prepare Produce Provide t-shirts, they all looked truly professional. Drinks garnished with sugar cane swivel sticks, Geraldton wax flowers and desert limes, their Kepa Kwab's really were a taste and colour explosion. The visual delight was further reflected in their Kepa Kwab artwork, which was on display as well as in printed form on the drink coasters. Young Emerging Artist Kayley Anne Emery worked alongside the students to develop the artwork for their beverage during their 10 week course.

Made from fresh local produce and Australian Traditional Botanicals these Kepa Kwab Non-Alchoholic beverages are an innovative product of a program initiative, designed by Prepare Produce Provide to provide a platform for new conversations around alternative choices to the consumption of alcohol.
