Joan Lim – Interim Chair

As a policy and government professional for over 18 years both in Australia and overseas, Joan brings substantial experience in governance, policy, project management and strategic planning to the Prepare Produce Provide board. She is currently involved in supporting Western Australia’s Primary Industries with international market development.

Mellida Frost – Treasurer

Mellida has been running Business Genie, a boutique Bookkeeping firm in Perth, for over 20 years. She has a Masters of Professional Accounting, teaches at Curtin University and has written five text books.

Mellida is passionate about simplifying and systemising procedures. She loves to give back to the community and is also the Treasurer of Rostrum Clubs of WA Inc, Arts South WA and the Serpentine Jarrahdale Food and Farmers Alliance. She continues to hone her skills in public speaking through Rostrum and The Speakers Institute.

She enjoys swing dancing, carnivorous plants and is currently trying to convince her peppermint bristlenose catfish to breed.

Michelle Blake – Board Secretary

Formerly a geologist within both the minerals and petroleum sectors. Michelle then moved into sales and marketing, primarily within the oil and gas consulting world, covering Europe, UK and the ME whilst based at Henley on Thames, UK. Re-locating back to Perth in 2001 with a focus on the Asia Pacific and Oceania regions and taking on more Business Development and Project Development roles. Michelle is currently working in various marketing roles across a range of industries.

Alex Mijatovic – Board Member

Alex is a retired Private Banker and International Business Development Manager with over 30 years of experience, holding a Business degree in Marketing & Management, a Post Graduate degree in Financial Planning and the Certified Financial Planner Certification. With extensive travel and experience in Australia and overseas in financial services, marketing and business development, Alex has a track record of delivering on set targets while managing key client relationships and growing business sales and markets.

Adrian Tobin – Board Member

Adrian has over 25 years kitchen experience in senior positions in 5-star hotels (Savoy Hotel London, Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas, Rockmans Regency Melbourne) Perth Convention Centre and numerous fine dining establishments. Leader of “Caterlink chefs club” which has 300 members and regularly hosts events to network, fundraise and socialize. Recognized Industry expert in designing and implementation of function and restaurant kitchens and bars.

Melissa Worthington – Board Member

A highly respected marketing and PR professional with a portfolio of experience across domestic and international markets, Melissa has had a close association with Western Australia’s agriculture, food and hospitality industry over the past twenty years. With a background in Australian wine marketing and communications (UK and Australia), over the 5 past years Melissa’s work has focused primarily on the domestic market, enabling business and food industry development for companies to increase their sales and expand brand awareness, and build capacity and capability of WA food and beverage businesses; whilst in turn driving employment in regions, fostering sustainable regional communities and benefiting the WA economy.

Catherine MacDougall – Co-founder; Program Director & ex-officio Board Member

Chef, Educator, trainer and passionate global citizen. My journey was influenced by my parents who lived in remote areas of the world. Their love of culture and people and the unique are things that influence me today.
