Metro Community Cooking

For several years a small PPP team has travelled over 2000 kms into the central dessert to cater for 350 students and teachers for a 3-day annual joint community (involving 8 communities) Sporting Carnival.

As facilities are limited it takes some ingenuity and careful planning to prepare and transport 4000+ items (meals, snacks & treats) out to Warrakurna in readiness for this event in early September.

This year we have created the opportunity for Perth metro students and interested businesses to take part in cooking sessions working alongside chef Tanya Healy to prepare, cook and package a range of menu items.

These cooking sessions are available for Perth Metro Schools that have a class doing hospitality or community services, or for Corporate Organisations that wish to participate in this unique opportunity to help us prepare, cook and package a range of menu items alongside Prepare Produce Provides head chef Tanya Healy.

Prepare Produce Provide are facilitating these sessions at Foodbank, Perth, Western Australia from Monday 27th July to Friday 31st July, at 9:30am - 2:30pm. Only one school or organisation can book per day.
