Our Delegation
Representing Western Australia on the World Stage
Together, this remarkable team will share Western Australia's unique bushfoods, cultural knowledge, youth leadership, and community stories at Terra Madre Slow Food 2026 in Turin, Italy.
Guided by the wisdom of Elder Dale Tilbrook, supported by experienced mentors, and led by passionate young ambassadors, the delegation will showcase the strength of Indigenous culture, the significance of native foods, and the power of intergenerational learning.
Their journey represents more than a visit to an international event. It is an opportunity to celebrate Country, create global connections, and inspire future generations to value, protect, and share the world's oldest living food cultures.

Quote:
"Over the years I have benefited from many opportunities that have allowed me to explore my culture, and identity. The connections I have made, the network of people who support me, the knowledge and experiences gained, have all built my confidence and encourage me to keep exploring. It’s deadly seeing my personal growth, and how that translates in my art, and storytelling. My passion is to continue these positive cycles of education with youth, especially First Nation youth, and Terra Madre is the perfect place to foster this learning. I’m excited to be returning this year, showcasing some of our bushfood, sharing our stories, learning from others, and mentoring youth!"

Quote:
“Walk gently, but carry your ancestors with you.”
This guides how I move through the world. Terra Madre is a chance to share our food traditions, learn from global communities, and show the strength of small places like Beagle Bay. I joined this experience to grow as a young leader and to bring new knowledge home.
Food, culture, storytelling, and Country are all connected in my life every meal is a story, every gathering is a lesson, and every part of Country holds memory.
Leadership means listening, staying grounded, and standing for your people with respect. On the world stage, I hope to represent Beagle Bay with pride and humility.
My journey has been shaped by challenges, opportunities, and the courage that comes from knowing my ancestors walked before me. Every step has taught me to stay connected to culture and Country.

“Very excited for the opportunity to showcase unique Western Australian ingredients, our incredible youth ambassadors and our organisation, Prepare Produce Provide. Food tells the story of our lives, where we are from, our culture, genetics, flavour preferences and food availability. So often Food is a focal point in celebrations and ceremonies and I cannot wait to experience this on a global level”
