Congratulations - Head Chef Tanya Healy - Excellence in Volunteer Management – 2026 WINNER
Congratulations to Tanya, our Head Chef here at Prepare Produce Provide (PPP) for winning the WA Volunteer Award for Excellence in Volunteer Management for 2026. The awards were held at The Westin Perth on Thursday 14th May 2026. We could not be prouder to see Tanya recognised on the big stage.
Tanya’s contribution to hospitality, education, mentorship, and community support over many years has been extraordinary. Through PPP, she has helped create opportunities, pathways, and meaningful change for so many people across Western Australia.
Prepare Produce Provide trains young people to develop career pathways in the education, food and hospitality industries. Tanya embedded a volunteer-first, culturally strong approach that has immeasurably improved program delivery, volunteer satisfaction and community outcomes.
During COVID, we saw firsthand the power of our industry coming together. Alongside volunteers, community members, and stood-down chefs, more than 45,000 meals were produced for people in need — a reminder that hospitality has always been about far more than what happens inside a restaurant.
Tanya has 30+ years in the hospitality industry and the last four being Head Chef at PPP. She is a mentor and educator inspiring young people and future chefs.
Tanya is not only our Head Chef, she also program manages a number of our programs, including our flagship program Djinda Ngardak, as well as being instrumental in the organisation and implementation of Dust Up and WA Secondary School Bush Food Competition, and in the development of Yarning Tea. She does so with enormous passion and dedication for the programs, leading by example and creating numerous opportunities for youth and volunteers to gain greater industry and interpersonal skills.
