Tyson is a young indigenous man from Blackstone Camp (Papulankutja) a remote Aboriginal community located in the Ngaanyatjarra Lands of Western Australia, situated at the foothills of the Blackstone Ranges.

“From 7years of age I would go hunting and gathering with my uncles, grandfather and brothers for Goanna, bush turkeys, honey ants, maku and kangaroo to cook for family and friends’ meals. 

I love spending time with family and learning about my culture and listening to Tjukurpa (storytelling) as food was being prepared, cooked and eaten”

Tyson now enjoys the friendships and experiences created through school and Prepare Produce Provide. Tyson was a part of the Djinda Ngardak Culinary Youth Camp in November 2025.
